Come celebrate an evening of oceanic storytelling - in books and on the silver screen. We are happy to welcome Jaimal Yogis, an award-winning writer and outdoorsman whose recent surfing memoir, All Our Waves Are Water, was named a "Best Beach Read of 2017" by the BBC. We also welcome Heather Kessinger and Jordan Dozzi, the award-winning local director and cinematographer of The Most Fearless, a dramatic documentary about the first female surfers in Bangladesh, some of whom are trying to surf their way out of destitution and serious danger.

This is a free event.

All proceeds from Jaimal's signed books and donations will go toward helping finish the final edit of The Most Fearless - a film that will inspire girls and women around the world who are suffering from oppression and inequality.

We love our books here at 101 Surf Sports and we are delighted that Jaimal will be spending an evening with us. He will mix reading excerpts from All Our Waves Are Water with clips from his Saltwater Buddha movie, based on his first bestselling book. We'll then show 40-minutes of riveting scenes from The Most Fearless, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers.

If you can't make it and you want to help Heather finish this movie you can donate and find out more by clicking here.

This is a free event. NO RSVP Needed just come on down but please be on time if at all possible. BYOB and bring your favorite pot luck dish as we will have a table out with some starters.
